Twenty Years Of Funding Peace and Justice
We celebrated our 20th anniversary on October 25th, 2018. It’s hard to believe that the Abe Keller Peace Education Fund has been working, meeting, fundraising, and making grants for twenty years. When we looked at all of the organizations whose projects and programs we have helped come to fruition, we were so proud of all the work that has been accomplished in the last two decades.
Many thanks to all those who attended, listened to our wonderful speakers and performers, shared food, wine and conversation, and contributed donations.
We were graced by two wonderful presenters, Jerry Large, former Seattle Times columnist, and Ruth Yarrow, poet, peace activist and former AKPEF board member. Rounding out the evening were the songs of the Seattle Labor Chorus.
We are looking forward to the next twenty years of supporting peace and social justice activism, and helping to empower youth, people of color, immigrants and refugees, and others fighting for a more just and peaceful planet.
