Remembering Thaddeus Spratlen
Dear Abe Keller Fund Supporter,
We are deeply saddened to share news about the passing of fund co-founder Thad Spratlen on May 18th. Thad was an iconic educator, author, mentor and social justice advocate and will be deeply missed. The University of Washington School of Business posted an excellent retrospective on Thad’s life and many contributions, “Remembering Thaddeus Spratlen.”
Thad was an inspiration to all of us on the Abe Keller Fund board. He served as President for years until the end of 2020. His wisdom and guidance were immeasurable and we will do our best to carry his vision forward. On Sunday September 26th there will be a meet and greet event for Washington state family, friends, and colleagues at the UW Foster School Douglas Forum from 12:30-3:00PM. On Tuesday September 28th at UW Kane Hall Room 220, there will be a Celebration of Life from 9:00-11:00AM.

The Abe Keller Peace Education Fund was created in 1998 to support peace and justice education activities in the Puget Sound region through fund-raising and grant-making. By supporting local and small-scale projects where our funding can have a significant impact, we turn many small contributions into a collective force for social change.
